Led Zeppelin

Led Zeppelin arrived in my life through my first boyfriend when I had 13 , although the band was dissolved so many years ago .........they became my heros and I learned to grow up  between their melodies, the magic tales and places, the colors of their songs , the clothes, the mysterious aura that the band was involved ...........
.........When the band retreated to Pages Old Mill House in nearby Windsor , Bonham continued to drink and collapsed at midnight. Pages chauffeur dragged him to bed.The next morning, John Paul Jones tried to rouse Bonham but found the drummer unresponsive. An ambulance was called, but it was much too late. Bonham had died , by accidental suicide, as a result of drinking and having choked to death on his own vomit .An inquest determined he had consumed forty shots of vodka before he died.
Bonham was thirty-two . His wife , Pat was devastated as were his two children Jason and Zoe .Over 300 mourners attended the funeral, including the shocked band members .
A few days later, the remaining three had to admit that Bonham couldnt be replaced. The music of Led Zeppelin needed those four people to make it work , because each of them played an irreplaceable role. The loss of Bonham was the loss of a family member .As Plant said later:.......I didnt say it should end.It just ended.........

On december 4, 1980, an official press release went out stating what most fans already suspected:........We wish to be known that the loss of our dear friend and the deep respect we have for his family , together with the sense of undivided harmony felt by ourselves, have led us to decide we could not continue as we were...........
